DMCA – Copyright Policy
On this page
At Golden Pawprints, we believe creative work deserves respect. This page explains our process for copyright infringement reports, counter-notifications, repeat infringement, and intellectual property concerns.
1. Digital Millennium Copyright Act
Welcome to Golden Pawprints at https://goldenpawprints.co/ (the “Site”). We respect the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, brands and other rights holders, and we expect the same from those who use our Site.
This policy explains how to report material that you believe infringes your copyright and how to submit a counter-notification if material has been removed or disabled in error. Where applicable, we handle copyright notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
For clarity, publishing this policy does not itself establish eligibility for any DMCA safe-harbor protection. The relevant legal requirements, including any applicable agent-designation obligations, must also be satisfied.
2. Notice of Infringement – Claim
If you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf and believe that material on our Site infringes a copyright, please send a written notice that includes:
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- Copyrighted work: Identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed (or a representative list of works, where permitted).
- Allegedly infringing material: Identification of the material and details sufficient for us to find it. Please include the exact product or page URL(s).
- Contact details: Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address, if available, so we can contact you.
- Good-faith statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- Accuracy and authority: A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Send your notice to the copyright contact specified in Section 7 below. Please use the email subject DMCA TAKEDOWN NOTICE and include supporting evidence, such as a link to the original artwork or rights documentation, when available.
We will review sufficiently detailed notices and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law, which may include removing the material or disabling access to it. We may request additional information when necessary to understand the claim.
3. Counter Notification – Restoration of Material
If content you provided was removed or disabled as a result of a copyright complaint and you believe that occurred because of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Your counter-notification should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and its location on the Site before removal, preferably the original URL.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, plus a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if you are outside the United States, a district where the service provider may be found), and agreeing to accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
Send your counter-notification to the contact shown in Section 7 with the subject DMCA COUNTER NOTIFICATION. Where the statutory process applies, we may forward your counter-notification to the complaining party and follow the required restoration procedure.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Golden Pawprints takes copyright infringement seriously. Where appropriate and in accordance with applicable law, we maintain procedures for addressing repeat infringement and may restrict or terminate access, supplier submissions or other relationships involving repeated violations.
We also review credible reports concerning product images, designs, logos and artwork offered on our Site and take appropriate action when necessary.
5. Modifications to This Policy
We may revise this DMCA – Copyright Policy when our processes, services or legal obligations change. Updated wording will be published on this page. We encourage visitors and rights holders to review this page periodically.
6. Intellectual Property and Publicity Rights
Golden Pawprints offers clothing and accessories, including Golden Retriever-inspired products. We respect artists, designers, photographers, brands and individuals whose creations or identities may be protected by law.
Copyright: Protects original creative expression fixed in a tangible medium, including illustrations, photographs, graphics and literary works.
Trademarks: May protect names, logos, symbols and other signs used to identify the source of goods or services.
Publicity and personality rights: May protect a person’s name, image, likeness or other identifying attributes against certain unauthorized commercial uses, depending on applicable law.
If you believe that a product design, photograph, logo or other content violates your intellectual property or publicity rights, please contact us with the affected product link, a description of your rights, supporting evidence and your contact information. We will review your report and respond appropriately. Not every trademark or publicity-right complaint is a DMCA copyright claim, and different legal standards may apply.
7. Copyright Contact and Takedown Reports
Please submit copyright and other intellectual property reports using these details:
- Store: Golden Pawprints
- Website: https://goldenpawprints.co/
For complaints about artwork or product listings, include the specific item URL, identification of the work, evidence of ownership or authorization, and your name and contact information.
Important: We may share relevant complaint details, including information identifying the claimant, with the party responsible for the reported content as part of a fair review or legally required process. Knowingly and materially misrepresenting that content is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may give rise to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
